CENOTE EDEN - PONDEROSA

A spectacular pond with crystal clear water full of fresh water plant life and fresh water inhabitants (e.g., Sailfin Molly, Tetras, Slider Turtles) is the entrance to this awesome cavern.

It has perfect conditions for divers and snorkelers alike. The large open water area is the perfect environment for dive training from Discover Scuba Diver to Cave and Technical Diver training.

A thick halocline (where fresh and salt water meet) at about 12 meters (40 feet) stretches throughout the system creating amazing visual effects/distortions, and the fantastic light effects give the diver the feeling of being in another planet. The variation of temperature between the fresh and salt water is surprising.
