Cenote Tajma Ha

Tajma Ha is an amazing cenote which offers two spectacular dives with all of the fantastic features of cenote cavern diving: sharp halocline (where fresh and saltwater meet creating amazing visual effects), light effects (thin light beams like lasers during summer time, refraction, reflection…), beautiful fossils, typical limestone halls, collapses, tannic acid, and astonishing speleothems.

Diving in Tajma Ha is recommended for the medium to advanced diver as the up and down profile of these dives are a bit aggressive for novice divers and people with sensitive ears.

Maximum Depth: 15 meters / 49 feet

Average Depth: 12 meters / 40 feet

Water Temperature: 25C / 77F year round

Location: Cenote Tajma Ha is located about 12 km (7.5 miles) north of our dive center in Akumal Pueblo. Then, from the turnoff on Highway 307 a 1.5 km (1 mile) long dirt road leads into the jungle to the cenote.

Opening Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Facilities: Toilets, changing rooms, souvenirs

Entrance Fee: 250 pesos
